Since 1983, the woodcarvings of William F. Vrooman have been exhibited in more than 500 fine art and wildlife art shows in the seven western states. Over 8,000 carvings have been sold to collectors throughout the United States, Australia, Canada, England, France and Germany.

William Vrooman's woodcarvings have won 27 awards of excellence in both regional and national wildlife and fine art shows.

In 2000, the State of California commissioned William to carve all of the trout and salmon of the Sierra Nevada range. The carvings remain as the permanent exhibit in the Emigrant Museum, in the Donner Memorial State Park, in TruckeeCalifornia.

In 1998, The Vrooman Woodcarvings and Wildlife Gallery opened in Historic Downtown Truckee. There, you will find the works of many fine local, regional, and national artists. The focus of the sculptures, paintings, and photography, is on nature and wildlife art and accents for the mountain home and the mountain rooms in your home.

Since 1998, the gallery has become one of the top visitor attractions in Truckee. It is a place where friends bring friends.
