Watson Inn

100 Main Street
570-538-1832

Originally named the Cooner Hotel, the Watson Inn was built in 1857. At that time, a livery stable was located behind the hotel, and horseback riders would race from the hotel down Main Street through Watsontown. The turn of the century brought many improvements to the hotel with the addition of electric lights, steam heat, and other "modern" conveniences.

Watson Inn was purchased by Norman and Nancy Buck in 1990 and opened for business in June of 1991. Our founder Norm "Bucky" Buck was also the owner of Norman E. Buck & Sons Plumbing. Bucky had a band "Bucky and the Good Tymes" who worked as backup for some of the biggest Country music stars. He was a member of the Watsontown Lions Club, Milton Moose Lodge, and a 32nd Degree Free and Accepted Mason. He is sadly missed.

Today, this historic inn offers fine dining, superior banquet facilities, catering on and off the premises, comfortable accommodations in both guest rooms and efficiencies, and personal service that shines of old-fashioned hospitality.
