The Wheatland Athletic Association started in 1977 providing T-Ball to 60 kids.

Today, WAA is a non-profit volunteer run orgranization providing recreational softball, recreational baseball, recreational soccer, and recreational basketball to over 10,000 boys and girls in the Aurora, IL and Naperville areas.

In additional to rec teams, WAA is home to the following travel teams:  Wheatland Wizards Travel Basketball, Team Chicago Travel Soccer, Wheatland Ducks Travel Basebell, and Wheatland Spikes Travel Softball.
