Here in Zumbrota, Minnesota, we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to be surrounded by very talented and very creative and just all-around very cool people. (We try not to feel smug or overly superior because of this, but it’s hard.)

Rather than gloating, however, we instead work to share our area’s artistic wealth, believing a vibrant arts organization is critical to a community’s health and energy. That’s why we sponsor a successful art fair called Art in East Park. We host weekly summer concerts with ice cream and great music called, not surprisingly, Music in the Park. We (Z Theatre) put on dynamite plays with sets and talent that rival those of larger theater groups. We award scholarships to artistic high school students.

Great art and music and writing and theater can happen anywhere...even in a small community like Zumbrota and the surrounding area
