Description:

America On Wheels is build around the story of American transportation.  The museum showcases wheeled transportation of all types, past, present, and future.  It aims to take you on a trip through time via the historic, economic and social heritage of over-the-road transportation.

While telling the story of the evolution of American transportation, the museum also aims to preserve the local history of the Lehigh Valley.  As you journey though the galleries you will learn about transportation's effect on the surrounding community and enjoy exhibits named for local establishments, often labeled with the business's actual signage.

America On Wheels offers educational opportunities for visitors of all ages.  It's children's programs have been developed using Pennsylvania's deucational standards, and include field trip opportunities, after school and weekend activities.  The museum features interactive exhibits to encourage visitors to participate and enjoy the learning experience.

As you travel through the museum, you will find that all of our exhibits are connected by the story of over-the-road transportation's effect o our daily lives.

America On Wheels features more than cars.  As a museum of over-the-road transportation, we are the home of all modes of wheeled transportation, including bicycles, trucks, and carriages in addition to our car collection.  The museum features a Changing Exhibit Gallery which rotates every six months.

Everyone has a favorite scenic route to travel, but it's always nice to explore new avenues!  At America On Wheels, we have dedicated on of our galleries to new and constantly changing exhibits and stories.  Visit us often to add variety and enjoy some new schenery on a trip among old favorites.
