Azamuddin Khaja, MD, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist who sees patients 18 years and older. Dr. Khaja provides treatment for a variety of cardiac and vascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, and peripheral arterial and venous diseases. He performs advanced procedures, including cardiac catheterization, peripheral arterial interventions, superficial and deep venous interventions, pacemaker and defibrillator placement, cardiac and vascular ultrasounds and more. Dr. Khaja has the expertise to offer his patients a wide range of care options. He is passionate about providing life-saving interventional cardiology procedures to patients, allowing them to live full, rewarding lives. Originally from India, Dr. Khaja lives in St. Louis. When he isn’t practicing medicine, he enjoys playing cricket, racquetball and spending time with his family. He also volunteers at a health clinic and participates in local and international health care advocacy groups. Dr. Khaja earned his medical degree from Gandhi Medical College in India, followed by a residency in the United Kingdom. He also completed a residency at the University of Pittsburgh, McKeesport Hospital in Pennsylvania, and specialized fellowships at the University of Missouri in Columbia and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
