When I was young, I began working at a free sports medicine clinic for high school athletes with my father. Watching the evaluation of injuries and listening to the treatment options generated my interest in a career in medicine. Through this experience, I was able to get an early exposure to the operating room, which really sparked my passion for becoming an Orthopedic Surgeon. The planning of each surgery, the precision of the techniques, and the ability to take a complex medical problem and execute a treatment solution for each patient inspired me to pursue this career. My approach to patient care is to evaluate each patient and give him or her an accurate diagnosis. From there, I work together with the patient to find and execute a treatment plan that works best for them. My goal is to get my patients back to their desired level of activity as quickly as possible. My areas of special interest include total shoulder arthroplasty using computer navigation; anterior total hip arthroplasty; total knee arthroplasty; shoulder, elbow, hip and knee arthroscopy; sports medicine; and sports coverage. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting and fishing.
