Jason H. Bell, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.S., was born and raised in Cincinnati, and attended Anderson High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1996 from Denison University, graduating in three years time. With a strong interest in research, he earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 2001 from Wesleyan University in Connecticut while working to combat bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Following a short post-doctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Harvard Medical School studying the molecular genetics of retinal degenerative disease, he returned to Cincinnati and earned his M.D. in 2005 from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine.
