My first true interaction with the healthcare field was when my father was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma; I was seven and scared. After seeing what his healthcare team did for my family, I knew I wanted to be in healthcare, I just didn’t know in what capacity. I decided to volunteer in different areas of a medical center to find my role. While volunteering for child life, I met a physician assistant (PA) who worked in pediatric surgery. I shadowed Peter for over 100 hours. Watching him treat patients and interact with families was inspiring. That was the day I chose to become a PA. My philosophy is to be on time and to honor your choices. I do not like waiting hours to see my provider. We are all busy and want to get home to our families. I promise I will be on time, listen to your concerns, address your concerns and explain your options. I love all areas of ear, nose and throat (ENT). I love how challenging it can be. Even though the diagnosis can be the same, the treatment/course of action is always different. My favorite part of ENT is teaching. I love to teach my patients, staff and students. ENT is very important to me, and I will never practice in any other field. Outside of work, I like challenging fitness workouts and cake decorating. I am constantly on the go with my husband and toddler. I spend most weekends decorating/remodeling my house and in the backyard.
