Pembroke Pines, FL (January 11, 2023) -- The City of Pembroke Pines and Broward County Public Schools is hosting a Community Peace Picnic on February 4, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way.

Open to the public, The City of Kindness event promotes being kind to one another as part of its Kindness Initiative. The event will showcase a variety of performances free of charge including, live music, poetry, storytelling, yoga, and many other ways to find peace. Guests are encouraged to pack a picnic basket and brink blankets. There will be an award for the "Best Decorated Picnic Area". Anyone can take part by sharing on social media their acts of kindness with #PinesIsKind on this day.

City of Kindness is the growing center of the kind movement composed of a coalition of organizations working to inspire kindness around the world to affect meaningful change among schools, young people, companies, elected officials and professionals.
