Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Our ABE program is competency based—students work at their own pace. The teachers work with students in large group, small group and one-to-one learning experiences to ensure that students can achieve their maximum potential in a minimum amount of time.

TABE scores are good for two years. ABE is structured with thirteen classes starting at 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Our evening classes are offered from 5:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

We offer face-to-face classes and online enrichment classes that go hand-in-hand with our comprehensive day and evening program.

The ABE instructors maintain small class sizes in an environment that is conducive to the preferences of adult learners.

The program is open entry, open exit thus allowing a student to complete when he/she meets their Basic Skills Requirement. Upon completion, the student will then be transferred to General Educational Development (GED) depending on their career or technical program.
